Mei Kazama (b. New York, NY) is a multimedia artist. They seek portals that negotiate memory, belonging, and visibility at the intersection of grief and possibility. They have exhibited their work in various spaces in the U.S. and Japan. They also work as an arts educator, and their teaching centralizes and empowers those most vulnerable by bringing together art and critical thinking to develop long term self efficacy. Mei graduated from Williams College with a BA in Studio Art and is currently pursuing their MFA in Painting and Printmaking at Yale University.
